DROUGHT
“Aquametric Markers“
2017 | ceramic stoneware, tinted slips, glaze | variable, 15’ x 8’ each
Five black and white striped ceramic obelisk forms modeled after coastal tide gages developed during an artist residency in Mexico. This image depicts the sculpture installed on a lake during the rainy season. Months later, the work was completely exposed and dry because the lake water depleted because of drought in the region.
