DROUGHT
“Terrametric Markers”
2017 | ceramic stoneware, tinted slips, glaze | variable, 12’ x 7’ each
Three black and white striped ceramic spire forms modeled after coastal tide gages developed during an artist residency in Mexico. This image depicts the sculpture installed on a hillside, showing lake levels in the background. As the annual drought season approaches, the lake’s waters recede and document by the horizontal gage line on the sculpture.
